For 40 years, I have told my stories in newspaper columns. Lately, I have been producing documentary films and writing books. This year, I am doing two things: looking back on my journey and re-shaping my future.

Kick-Off Available on Pre-Orders

Football is Kenya’s national pastime. This book is the story of the game. It represents the most comprehensive account of its best and worst moments including never before told personal stories of the country’s greatest stars and coaches. Readers will be enthralled to follow the accounts of legendary players such as Ali Kadjo, Elijah Lidonde, Daniel Nicodemus, James Siang’a, Chege Ouma, Joe Masiga, Mahmoud Abbas and coaches like Marshall Mulwa and Bernhard Zgoll. The book is a tour de force of Kenya football whose scope stretches from the 1920s to the present. Kick-Off is one of a kind. It will open a floodgate of memories. No sports enthusiast with a liking for history should miss it.

My Documentaries

Kenya Navy@50

To celebrate their 50th anniversary the Kenya navy needed a documentary to tell their story. As a journalist with the Nation Media group, I had written on the Kenya Navy. They approached me to do it and the result was a never before seen picture of their sea operations.

The Last Fight

The Last Fight is a documentary on the marginalized, people living on the fringes of society and hoping to use boxing to break out of the cycle of poverty. It is raw, it is grim and gripping. I have covered boxing for 40 years and I thought the story needed to be told.
