To celebrate their 50th anniversary the Kenya navy needed a documentary to tell their story. As a journalist with the Nation Media group, I had written on the Kenya Navy. They approached me to do it and the result was a never before seen picture of their sea operations.

The Last Fight is a documentary on the marginalized, people living on the fringes of society and hoping to use boxing to break out of the cycle of poverty. It is raw, it is grim and gripping. I have covered boxing for 40 years and I thought the story needed to be told.
